Snow has been slow to come here in northern Utah this winter, frustrating our Wasatch ski and snowboard community, but the cold temperatures nevertheless have a firm grip on the region. For that reason, our travel trailer is buttoned down in the driveway wearing its winter coat, RV antifreeze coursing through its veins. We’re still planning to get out a few times later this winter for some skiing with the RV once temps moderate a bit, but for now we have only one more travel video in the can, a visit to Kanab, Utah and Best Friends Animal Sanctuary set to premiere on YouTube and here at GrandAdventure.tv on January 3rd.

Grand Adventure is now three months old, and I’m very excited by the traction it’s gained in barely more than 12 weeks. We didn’t formally launch our YouTube channel until early October, and this website mere days ago, but throughout 2017 we camped nearly 70 days in the trailer. We visited some absolutely amazing places throughout the Intermountain West this summer, but that was before Grand Adventure — before the thousands of dollars of video cameras, accessories and editing gear we purchased to make this channel come alive.

Enter Kitchen Table Trips, our new series that will launch in January. We’ll revisit many of those places, from the Sawtooth Mountains of central Idaho to the San Juans of southwestern Colorado, along with spots scattered around Utah including the Uinta and Wasatch Mountains, and the deserts of Moab and elsewhere across the state. In Kitchen Table Trips we’ll explore the surroundings, flip through our photographs, and dig out maps to show you how to find these stunning campsites and destinations for yourself, and get the most out of your visit to the area.

So stick around with Grand Adventure through the cold winter months! We’ll continue to alternate how-to videos with our Kitchen Table Trips series until we get back out on the road. And with a full summer of RV travel planned for 2018, we’ll have a stuffed calendar of full travel videos to share with our Grand Adventurers well into next winter.

ABOUT US

Welcome to Grand Adventure, a YouTube channel that focuses on RV-centric outdoor activities including not only of course camping, but also mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, skiing and more, nearly always filmed in stunning 4K.

We’re based in Salt Lake City, Utah, and invite you to come along as we travel all around the western U.S. My wife Patricia and I, and our dogs Zoe and Maggie are avid boondockers, so you’ll seldom find us in RV parks or even dry campgrounds. Instead, we’re usually camped in some of the most remote and beautiful spots that you could ever pull a travel trailer into. And unlike most other RV channels on YouTube, we’re not RV dealers or full-timers — we’re weekend warriors just like you!

We’ll provide tips and insight on equipping and maintaining your RV, trip planning and travel videos to make your next adventure a grand one indeed! So, subscribe to make sure that you catch every episode, and remember…life is nothing but a Grand Adventure!
