Ep. 422: Smithers, British Columbia | Canada RV travel camping hiking
With a population of just over 5,000, the Alpine-themed Smithers is the largest town in British Columbia's Bulkley Valley, in the province's northwest Central Interior on the eastern edge of the Coast Mountains. The valley is bounded on the west by the ultra-prominent Hudson Bay Mountain range that rises to 8,494 feet above the town, and on the east by the Babine Mountains. While spending a week RV camping along the banks of the Bulkley River at the town's Riverside Municipal Campground we'll explore the area's history, do a bit of hiking, check out twin 500-foot waterfalls, enjoy the splendor of Tyhee Lake and Kathlyn Lake, bike the town's extensive trail network, watch natives net fishing at the Witset Canyon, and see the charming neighboring town of Telkwa. Come along!

We're based in Salt Lake City, Utah during the winter months, and invite you to come along as we travel all around North America.
