Door County is sometimes referred to as the "Cape Cod of the Midwest". It's a peninsula that juts out into Lake Michigan, bounded by the lake on its east and Green Bay on its west. It's home to beautiful beaches, historic lighthouses, rolling fruit orchards, and beautiful resort towns, harbors and marinas. In this episode of Grand Adventure we get derailed by yet another breakdown, necessitating an emergency whirlwind trip to Michigan's Lower Peninsula, but still find the time to tour the county, paddle our kayak out to an island lighthouse, and even go parasailing 500 feet above the deep blue waters of Green Bay with Wisconsin Water Wings, all from our campsite at Beantown Campground in Bailey's Harbor!

Welcome to Grand Adventure, a YouTube channel that focuses on RV-centric outdoor activities including not only of course camping, but also mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, skiing and more, always filmed in stunning 4K.

We're based in Salt Lake City, Utah, and invite you to come along as we travel all around the western U.S. My wife Patricia and I, and dog Zoe are avid boondockers, so you'll seldom find us in RV parks or even dry campgrounds. Grand Adventure is the creative video outlet for Marc Guido, a 50-something outdoors enthusiast who first added an RV to his gear bag in spring 2017.
