Saskatchewan Hidden Gems: Blackstrap Provincial Park & Saskatoon | RV travel camping (Ep. 470)

Many RV travelers may be tempted to skip Saskatchewan, but there are numerous true gems hidden throughout this Canadian province's vast flat prairie. And one of them is Blackstrap.

Blackstrap Lake is a reservoir some nine miles long and half a mile wide, with an extensive Provincial Park lining its eastern shore. In addition to three campgrounds that range from dry camping to full hookup, the park also includes swimming beaches, 15 miles of trails for hiking and biking, exceptional birding, two boat ramps for fishing and water sports, and even a tiki bar and a man-made "mountain" that once served as an alpine ski area.

In this week's Grand Adventure we bring you to Blackstrap, along with the quirky nearby village of Dundurn, and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan's largest city only 30 minutes away. Come along!

Welcome to Grand Adventure, a YouTube channel that focuses on RV-centric outdoor activities including not only of course camping, but also mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, skiing and more, always filmed in stunning 4K.

We're based in Salt Lake City, Utah during the winter months, and invite you to come along as we travel all around North America.
