Ep. 445: Return to Las Vegas | Nevada RV travel camping

For this week's Grand Adventure, we once again find ourselves in Las Vegas. I'll confess that I'm really not a Vegas guy, so why do we end up here so often? Las Vegas is an ideal staging spot for our final push back to Salt Lake City each year in early winter. We're within a day's tow of the Wasatch Front, yet there's little risk here of snow and winter temperatures. This gives us the opportunity to leave here on a moment's notice to "shoot the gap" between winter weather events along I-15, and a warm, comfortable place to finish those last remaining tasks on the RV before we drive straight into instant winter for the next few months. Sure, we hit The Strip while RV camping this year at Las Vegas RV Resort, but one fun thing about Las Vegas is that there's always something you haven't seen or done before. For us this year, that's the Neon Museum. Come explore Las Vegas with Grand Adventure!

Welcome to Grand Adventure, a YouTube channel that focuses on RV-centric outdoor activities including not only of course camping, but also mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, skiing and more, always filmed in stunning 4K.

We're based in Salt Lake City, Utah during the winter months, and invite you to come along as we travel all around North America. My wife Patricia and I, and dog Zoe are avid boondockers, so while you'll occasionally find us in RV parks or even dry campgrounds, we're usually camped in some of the most remote and beautiful spots that you could ever pull a travel trailer into. We've now transitioned from "long-timing" for six months a year, to living and traveling in our RV full-time.
